OK - problem solved but that took a bit of work to decipher the mcuconfig, board.h, and Can timing relationships. I think there can be a doc for dummys, that one (maybe me) might publish on how to handle boards of different timing.
The Mini-m4 runs at 120mhz - not 168. I was confused by looking at ...

Re: board config
And yes, using a scope to look at the signals coming out of the B8/B9 pins on the M4, they are not the same as those on the Disco. So clearly I have some kind of pin mapping issue.

Re: board config
Sorry for inadequate info. Im using max3051 transceivers. I put two of them in a breakout board, back to back, with a 120ohm resistor across Can H/L. Im pretty much using your testhal CAN sw. All boards use B8/B9 for talking to the transceivers. When I connect my two disco boards to the transceivers ...

Re: board config
Thanks for the fast reply. So based on your comment, I should be able to leverage the discovery board files, for the M4, with the only issue being that the M4 has fewer pins? As long as I use common pins, I should be good? If thats the case, then the implication is that the problem is in my wiring ...

Re: board config
Hmm - Ive been using STM32f4Disco for years now, and it works fine with every IO I have tried. I have a microe Mini-M4, and have done some basic things with it. I have the usart working (C10,C11), but was trying to get CAN going, and thus far, have failed. CAN loopback works fine, but things are not ...

Re: varying voltage on ADC impacting EXT?
Hmm. I think we can delete this thread. I removed some custom HW, and the problem went away. There is clearly a ground/noise issue, with my HW.

Re: varying voltage on ADC impacting EXT?
The voltage value is not my issue. Im seeing some kind of weirdness with the tach/EXT. Only when the voltage being sampled on the ADC, is varying. If that voltage is steady, the tach/ext input counts correctly. Again, Im driving the tach with a fixed freq 100hz clock. There is no variation of that ...

varying voltage on ADC impacting EXT?
This is a peculiar situation: I have a stm32f407 disco board, interfacing with a bunch of different external devices. Two in particular are an adc sampling voltage, and the ext driver being used to count pulses from a tach. Independently, these work perfectly. In fact, if the voltage being sampled ...

data logger/nvram
I know this topic must have come up, but I don't find anything obvious in the forum. Im using an stm32f407 - the cheapie board. I would like to write events to NVRAM.
- Does chibios have support for writing to flash/nvram that is native to this board?
Just point me to the appropriate thread that I ...
