DMA DAC support in ChibiOS 3.0 - STM32F4
Did this feature make the cut for 3.0? I thought it was on the list, but in looking through the source drop I downloaded yesterday it is not clear to me where to start (nothing about DAC in the demos folder, or in the mcuconf.h). I want to be able to run continuous DMA streams of samples out the ...

Re: Discovery STM32F429 and DMA DAC on ChibiOS
When a callback is telling you to write 0..511 the DMA is reading 512..1024.
At least this is the intended behavior, the actual implementation may differ.

That matches my expectation. In that scenario, using a 1024-sample total buffer being played back at 20KHz, each half is playing ...

Re: Discovery STM32F429 and DMA DAC on ChibiOS
I think it's a little more subtle than that. As it stands the callback has very little code in it, it can start writing data as soon as it gets control.
If the callback is invoked and told to write samples 0-511 - is it your assertion that the DMA engine is, at that moment, already starting to read ...

Re: Discovery STM32F429 and DMA DAC on ChibiOS
I got code checked out from mobyfab's git and got it up and running. But I ran into something weird and it is not clear to me if it's the driver code and the way it approaches DMA, or if it's a hardware bug, or hardware not quite configured right.
For a first test I set up a 1024-sample buffer and ...

Discovery STM32F429 and DMA DAC on ChibiOS
I have been trawling the forum and read a number of threads about DAC support in ChibiOS on the STM32F4 series. I downloaded a couple of mobyfab's samples but encountered compile errors that I wasn't able to sort out. Before wrestling with it further can I ask if there is a particular sample ...
