Ok,
I don't use ChibiStudio because I set-up my toolchain for ChibiOS before the first ChibiStudio release. I that time it was a little complex thing to do.
I leaved the cfg as it was so it is not in sync with the board files.
Regarding the board files, I notticed that the nucleo L152RE, F401RE ...

STM32F303 Nucleo64 Board
I was interested to work on the Nucleo 303 board using Chibios.
This is the best Nucleo Board in the high performance analog F3 series.
As AFAIK there was no demo for this board, I made my own one.
You can find it here if you are interested

Re: Chibios-master/ testhal/Stm32f30x/USB-CDC not working
Thank's lesto.
I used to use the disconnect and delay method but was only one or two seconds and I could not get a reliable enough start on the STM32F4 Discovery board. On the other hand, the STM32F3 Discovery seems to be more reliable restarting the USB CDC while debugging.

Re: Chibios-master/ testhal/Stm32f30x/USB-CDC not working
USB-CDC works ok for me using the STM32F3 Discovery board.
I used it succesfully on the F3 Gizmo

Re: Linking to SRAM instead of flash?
This is a follow-up of my last message.
I include it here to help whoever wants to run ChibiOS/RT from RAM as it is somewhat tricky.
It turns out that running from RAM is quite more complex that I thought.
My first try worked fine but it was a question of luck.

Re: Linking to SRAM instead of flash?
I have just tried to run rom RAM in the STM32F4 Discovery and it works.
Off course that only works form GDB (Open OCD in my case).
Here's my procedure:
Change the liker file
-------------------------
I have created a file STM32F407xG_RAM.ld from STM32F407xG.ld
This file is on (CHIBIOS)\os\ports ...

Re: Problem with large constant character strings
There should be no limit on the length of the argument to the "%s" format specifier.
Also, your suggestion is suboptimal for writing this fixed string, because if the fixed string contained, for instance, the text "Press X to display %done", it will interpret the %d as a format specifier and will ...

Re: data logger/nvram
If you talk about the 4kB backup RAM it is quite easy to access, you don't need ChibiOS for that.
It's all in the Reference Manual (RM0090). You should have a copy if you want to do any serious work on the MCU.
The range of this memory is 0x4002 4000 - 0x4002 4FFF and you can access it using ...

Re: Problem with large constant character strings
I have used long strings before without problem.
If it is a flash storage problem it will show also sending one char, or one line, on each print or sendchar command.
Did you try my suggestion of not using the %s method?
You really don't need to format the string.

Re: Problem with large constant character strings
I don't understand why you use:
chprintf((BaseSequentialStream*)&SDU1, "%s", menu1); // ALB - does not work with this line
instead of:
chprintf((BaseSequentialStream*)&SDU1, menu1);
I don't think that "%s" is meant to be used on long strings.

Vicente
