Perhaps I have messed up somewhere with my versioning and have got out of sync, but I seem to have a problem with os/various/shell/shell_cmd.c file...
On line 165 the following code is used, referring to a thread variable that I believe is no longer used(??).
uint32_t stklimit = (uint32_t)tp ...

chprintf inline warning
I'm not sure if this issue is specific to GCC or not (although I do know it is the case with some other compilers), but variadic functions cannot be inlined (such as chprintf).
Using the warning option -Winline, I get the following warning message:
/os/hal/lib/streams/chprintf.h:69:19 ...

GCC rules.ld heap assignment
As a result of Subversion Revision 8280, builds for the STM32F407 using GCC are excessively large.
Using the RT-STM32F407-DISCOVERY example project (unmodified) and the latest trunk code, the program compiles to 158240 bytes. By reversing the changes made to os/common/ports/ARM/ARMCMx/compilers/GCC ...

Re: Daisy-chaining SPI
I think you might be looking at the template file, rather than the source file, for spi_lld.c. If you go to os/hal/ports/STM32/LLD/SPIv1/spi_lld.c, for example, you will find that the spi_lld_exchange() function has indeed been implemented.

RTC module loses day of week when converting
Hi,
First up I'd just like to say that I'm pretty new to ChibiOS (and RTOS' in general), but so far I think it's great!
I have noticed that the function to convert between RTCDateTime and tm structs (rtcConvertDateTimeToStructTm) does not convert the weekday field.
