Re: STM32F4 serial driver misses sometimes one or morecharac
That is great news! Now I don't have to worry about DMA conflicts.

Re: STM32F4 serial driver misses sometimes one or morecharac
Does the "serial" driver use DMA by default? If so, which DMA? I just want to make sure its DMA doesn't conflict with the I2C DMA. I saw that you fixed I2C DMA in 3.0.4 so it can finally be turned off with a config define. I may end up doing this because I really don't need it for the small amount ...

Re: RTC valid year values?
Thanks! I looked in the f4 ref man and didn't see anything about it. I just now realize that my worry was totally unfounded anyway because 2000 was a leap year so no matter how the mapping is done it doesn't matter.

Re: RTC valid year values?
So I'm confused. Is the 1980 a Chibios arbitrary choice or is it an STM32 arbitrary choice?
The STM32 is supposed to take into account leap years and such. So is Chibios mapping properly to STM32 expected values? Leap year is a really wacky formula based on 4 and 100 and 200 years and such (i.e ...

Re: RTC valid year values?
So, that means 1980 - 2079?
What I'm trying to also figure out is where the "1980" came from?
Thanks,

RTC valid year values?
Hi,
What is the valid range of values for the "year" field for the RTC date time structure? I couldn't find anything in any of the STM32 docs that say what values are valid for the year bcd registers, and the Chibios api docs say the year base is 1980 for the chibios RTC date time structure but don ...

Re: chEvtBroadcastFlags doesn't work like I thought it would
Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that that was the expected behavior so I know if I need to get around it or submit a patch.

chEvtBroadcastFlags doesn't work like I thought it would
Hi,
So, you can do chEvtRegisterMaskWithFlags, and chEvtBroadcastFlags, which from looking at some of the chibios code in chevent.c (see below) is supposed to notify my thread only when a specific event mask and flag bits are set, which is exactly what it seems to do (through testing it out ...

Re: I2C in a thread causes a chSysHalt (on every board I try
YAY!!! That was it! It works! The only conf thing I hadn't done was the FILL option. I originally had tried to do this project with FreeRTOS and it would assert in a specific place when I ran out of stack. I gave up on FreeRTOS because I was using STM32 HAL and I just couldn't get it to work at all ...

Here's a tarball of my entire project, so you can see all my configs, etc.
