I am trying to do some image processing on STM32F4 and I'm having some problems with the RGB565 to grayscale conversion..
When I run the following code I get the regular image as can be seen in the attached picture and all the colors are as they should.
uint16_t rgb565Img[19200];

I was planning on doing a comparison between ChibiOS and FreeRTOS and I noticed that FreeRTOS has an exception to the GPL license:
Clause 2:
FreeRTOS may not be used for any competitive or comparative purpose, including
the publication of any form of run time or compile time metric, without the ...

Re: lwIP 50% packet loss
The connection with the 50MHz signal generated on MCO1 from PLL was not good enough since it could not hold a stable connection speed, I'm assuming it generates too much jitter. It was solved by using a 50 MHz external crystal.

Re: lwIP 50% packet loss
When I configure the LAN8720A chip to work in 10 Mbit mode it works like a charm without any packet loss.
After all it was a clock problem, you can't use the MCO2 for some reason because it can't generate a good enough clock for the PHY. So now I have configured the MCO1 to generate a 50 MHz clock ...

Re: lwIP 50% packet loss
Any suggestions on how/where to start debugging this? I'm thinking that it's some kind setting in lwipopts.h but I might be wrong.

lwIP 50% packet loss
Hello,
I'm using lwIP in a project to stream video from an ov7725 camera module over ethernet. However, sending the images over ethernet was really slow so I checked the connection and I can see that I'm losing about 50% of all the packets by just pinging the device.

Re: OV5642/OV7725 only outputting the same data
I changed to the ov7725 camera instead and it works like a charm. However, the LWIP has huge packet loss when I'm sending the pictures since so when I try to display the images it's super slow, not even 1 fps.

Re: OV5642/OV7725 only outputting the same data
I configured the camera to output RGB565 data instead in the format R[4:0], G[5:3], G[2:0], B[4:0] and made a simple application that connects to the device and receives the data and converts it to RGB888.

Re: OV5642/OV7725 only outputting the same data
In the datasheet for the module it says that the HSYNC and VSYNC pins are both active high. However, when I looked at the oscilloscope on both HSYNC and VSYNC pins they were never high at the same time. I changed the HREF be active low in the DCMI configuration and configured the camera to output a ...

Re: OV5642/OV7725 only outputting the same data
Should be in ov5642_TransferConfig, accidently pasted wrong code for that for loop.. Problem still remains!
Code: Select all
for (i = 0; i < sizeof(OV5642_QVGA)/ sizeof(sensor_reg); i++)
