Re: Sleeping in Tickless mode

Hi, I think you could re-initialize the OS using chSysInit(), that also resynchronizes the virtual timers. If the timer continues to run during sleep then that could be the problem. Note that chSysInit() expects interrupts to be disabled on entry, use chSysDisable() in order to ensure that. Giovanni

Re: Threads Debugging in GDB and Chibistudio

Hi, Images are not showing, you need to attach them to the message. Anyway, if you want to see threads in GDB then you need to start OpenOCD with the option for RTOSes, you need to look at the manual, I don't remember the details. ChibiStudio uses a different method to look at threads, this is why i...

Re: [NEWS] Introducing MFS

Hi,

Exactly which step is failing in TC 17?

It could be a limit of the test case, could you try to increase MFS_CFG_MAX_RECORDS proportionally? it is 32, try making it 128.

Currently I have no way to run the test.

Re: [DEV] RP2040 support

Vectors need to be aligned, the system would crash otherwise.

Re: [DEV] RP2040 support

Scatter files are a synonym of linker scripts.

GCC assigns each function a separate section name, you can allocate those section names freely. You may leverage the common prefix "ch" of function names also.

Re: [DEV] RP2040 support

Hello, Being able to place functions in ram is beyond the case of RP2040, one should probably think at a portable way to express it : In many STM32 families, there is ITCM memory that is here to execute hot code without wait state cycle, and for now, as far as I know, there is no mechanism to use i...

Hi,

I think I lost track of all changes... does this patch include everything compared to trunk?

Hi,

On the F4 clocks are calculated at compile time, how is this compatible with that?

Re: Full SMP on RP2040

Hi, There are always one instance per core, coupled or decoupled, this is the only difference. The article says there is one OS running on multiple cores, it does not say "instances", an instance is an object of the class "OS instance", the OS is the collection of all things. Gio...
