Re: Precision periodic timer using virtual timers

Hi, Changes to timers have been committed, Bob is helping with stress tests. Now it is possible to start one-shot or continuous timers and change the period from the callback if required. Callbacks now have 2 parameters, the timer itself and the usual user parameter, look for warnings and adjust. An...

Re: Overriding _unhandled_exception doesn't work

I don't know if it is the moved vectors table, you have a customized setup so you should look into differences.

Re: Clang/LLVM

That hightec compiler included a library and they worked on the linker on their side, it is not GPL so they can keep their optimizations/fixes private.

I never used LLVM as-is, feel free to propose patches.

Re: Overriding _unhandled_exception doesn't work

Hi,

I tried to add that code to a main.c of an existing demo and it is linked correctly, no need to put the "used" attribute.

Which compiler are you using?

Re: [PROPOSAL] Slack ChibiOS workspace

I am a tech reactionary, it is a known fact :D

Vitaly already set up everything in slack, looking from IRC, for me both are alien technology, lets hear opinions.

Re: [PROPOSAL] Slack ChibiOS workspace

I would highly suggest using Matrix for real-time conversations. Several large open source projects are shifting from slack, gitter, IRC, etc .. to Matrix. It's the future of distributed/federated real-time communication. Matrix also support bridging between the non-matrix chat ecosystem (btw, gitt...

Re: Overriding _unhandled_exception doesn't work

Hi,

You may look for the symbol in the .map file and see what happened.

[PROPOSAL] Slack ChibiOS workspace

Hi, Vitaly (vrollei on the forum) proposed to use Slack for discussions regarding ChibiOS development (not support), it would be public and/or private (TBD), is there interest about this? Some of us are already using a Telegram group and it is working pretty well, probably it would be insufficient i...

Re: context switch observed inside S-locked state Topic is solved

Absolutely, it is a good description.

IRQ "tail" processing is a very tricky part of the Cortex-M ports. It has to deal with the stacked interruptions and make sure that switch happens when the exceptions stack had been emptied.
