Re: request usb id

Hi,

I would just request codes by device types: CDC, HID, MSC (mass storage if I remember well). It is a finite pool so better don't take too much.

Serial, shell etc are all CDCs.

Re: Olimex E407 USB HS + FS null modem

It could depend on a lot of things: ULPI settings, GPIOs, clocks, descriptors. I haven't tested that demo for a while, it is possible that it regressed somehow.

Make it work with a single CDC first to make sure HW is fine.

Re: Should allow more than one shell

It is a synchronization object, it is meant to be shared.

Re: Should allow more than one shell

Hi,

You mean "shell_terminated"? it signals that one of the shells terminated, it allows for multiple shells.

Re: Olimex E407 USB HS + FS null modem

Hi,

The closest thing is the demo STM3F4xx-USB_CDC_IAD which implements 2 ports.

Re: Binary size difference between gcc9 and gcc10

Hi,

GCC10 is pushing even more for speed using -O2, it is significantly faster. If you want to compare for size then use -Os.

Re: Sleeping in Tickless mode

Hi, chSysInit() resets the OS state, there are no more active threads after you do that, you need to create them again. Try the following: 1) Make sure to do this from within the main() thread. 2) Disable interrupts. 3) chSysDisable(). 4) stm32_clock_init() 5) halInit() 6) chSysInit() 7) Create all ...
