ChibiOS Free Embedded RTOS

I see that ARM is putting a considerable effort to promote mbed platform. It provides SDK, RTOS, and numerous libraries. I'm curious what do you guys think about it? Do you think it will gain popularity over current way of embeded development?

The current driver can only work in DMA mode, it would require changes in oder to work without DMA, it is what wbober decided to do but I don't have any update about this.

You can but not both at the same time since they share DMA channel. The issue we have is that when you switch off SPI and switch on I2C the later doesn't work properly. To deal with the problem we decided to modify the driver and use IRQs instead of DMA.

Thanks for making the bootloader available, exactly what I was looking for! An example of an application which can be loaded using the bootloader would be really useful though. Could be just a simple bilnker - just to show where to put change CORTEX_VTOR_INIT and how to init/deinit it.
