Re: GPT time between events
Probably you read the same value because the counting is synchronous with the other timer used for system sleep functions.
Is this stm32 specific or chibios? On the reference manual I see that TIM2/3/4/5 are supposed to be independent.
Hi,
You configured the timer with a 1MHz clock and a ...

GPT time between events
Hello,
On a STM32F767zi I'm experimenting with GPT by starting/stopping a timer and querying the time it has passed ever since it started in milliseconds. My endgame is to start the timer when a certain event occurs (button press, signal edge, etc), but for now I wrote the simpler example bellow to ...

Re: STM32F767zi: ICM200948 over SPI
Hi Giovanni,
thanks for taking the time.
I'm not sure what you mean. Isn't the configuration I showed for NSS PIN_MODE_OUTPUT(GPIOB_SPI2_NSS) , etc enough to set it as an output GPIO?
Best

STM32F767zi: ICM200948 over SPI
Hi,
I'm working on a driver for this IMU device on some custom hardware based on the stm32f767zi. There might be something wrong with my configuration as I can't read the device's ID.
This is what I have currently:
relevant parts from board.h
#define GPIOB_SPI2_NSS 12U
#define GPIOB_SPI2_SCK ...

Re: STM32F767zi UART Auto Baud Rate
Thank you I'll try. Just wondering if, after the initial connection, the device I'm connected to changes baud rate do I need to call sdStop and then sdStart again?

STM32F767zi UART Auto Baud Rate
Hello.
Does chibios support automatic detection of baud rate on a UART? I've trying to find in its API and didn't see anything. From stm's reference manual I think I understand which registers I'm supposed to manipulate but not when should I do it.
Should I set them before/after the call to ...

Re: STM32F767 freeze on chibios update
Hi steved this solved the problem perfectly. I patched my local ver19.1.3 with the files at os/common/startup/ARMCMx/compilers/GCC/ and the problem got fixed.
Thank you both for helping!

Re: STM32F767 freeze on chibios update
I think that constructor issue was caused by some bad linker options I changed when trying to debug. I've cleaned up the staging area, and started over with chibios-ver19.1.3 .
Now I'm back at the original error: the micro seems to stop before calling chTMStartMeasurementX . I've switched on all the ...

Re: STM32F767 freeze on chibios update
The following doesn't work (micro seems to be "jammed") and debugger is always at ResetHandler. I've looked into the registers and GDB doesn't seem have read them by this point.
Nonetheless by moving p1 outside of global scope (e.g. inside of main )) everything works fine. This makes think of ...

Re: STM32F767 freeze on chibios update
- I'm compilling an extra file chibios/os/hal/ports/STM32/LLD/EXTIv1
- I had -mthumb mode enabled. I've restored this which entailed removing -mthumb and adding -mno-thumb-interwork -DTHUMB_NO_INTERWORKING . But still the same behaviour
If you need the "EXTIv1 driver", (or not) you seem to be ...
