The MB core can be set up both with and without an MMU. Which one is best for Chibios? I had the impression that Ch didn't use that feature even if the hardware supported in.
Regarding the HAL peripherals, porting the most common, like UART, Timers, SPI and so on should be manageable.
I guess ...

Porting 3.0 to Microblaze
Hi, I have a couple of FPGA projects that involves the Microblaze soft core from Xilinx. I really need a RTOS for these cores, and I don't like the available options. Chibios on the other hand, is the perfect choice for me. If I were to port Chibios to a new platform, I guess the best choice would ...

Re: Yet another BLDC controller
Thanks,
I have had some more progress, but I will post more when I get the zero crossing detection going.

Yet another BLDC controller
Hi everyone,
I have started a small project to educate myself in Chibios, STM32 programming, and of course the art of making a BLDC motor turn. I have made an add-on card to the STM32F4Discovery, and I am currently writing software. The motor started to turn for the first time only a couple of hours ...

Re: Atomic IO operations
Is it safe to assume that if using lock is mentioned in the comments, it is allowed even if the Function class says it's not?
Thanks,
Kjell

[DONE]Atomic IO operations
Hi,
I am a bit confused when reading the documentation on the PalWritePad (and the other Pad operations).
m
In the Note, it says that the function is not guaranteed to be atomic, and it can be enclosed between chSysLock() and chSysUnlock() to ensure this. However, the Function Class is "Normal ...

Re: example interfacing a STM32F4 with libusb
Now I have tested Mathias solution on my Mac.
I'm using chibios trunk r4566 and Mathias' benchmark.c slightly changed to measure time in ns the OSX-way.
I'm getting very good results. Transfer rates above 1MBytes/sec both with and without hub. The performance is slightly better using the hub ...

Re: example interfacing a STM32F4 with libusb
Mathias,
Since we have very different systems Mac vs Linux, probably different hubs, and I have experienced the same problem on different uC-system, it would be very strange if the problem is anything hardware related. I will try to compile something on Windows, probably tomorrow, and see how it ...

Just wanted to say this.
This thread has really shown how dedicated Giovanni is. The response has been fast and positive, and he is very open for suggestions and discussion. Also the spirit of the entire community is very friendly and helpful. I haven't used Chibios for anything real yet, but there ...

Re: example interfacing a STM32F4 with libusb
About this varying results, I am not sure how it would possible to proceed nor if it is an issue with the driver. Probably you should try the ST library and see if you get similar results.
