Debug plugin with DSF support

Postby vrollei » Wed Jun 27, 2018 5:06 pm

Hi,

I have made some changes in debug plugin to support CDT DSF, so it works in Eclipse Oxygen.
Tested with JLink and Kernel version 4.

What kernel versions should plugin support?
Is Kernel version 5 compatible with version 4 from plugin view?

Will you be contributing your changes? If so, Yay! You're my hero, and thank you! Sorry, I can't answer your question though :( .

Do we need to support version older v4?

If they are compatible, they should be the same, right?

They are mostly the same, just some C expressions change. We may remove support for 2 and 3 because are closed branches but I would keep those if possible.

Could you please tell me which expressions are changed in v5.
Thanks!

Hi,

v5 is exactly the same. You may duplicate it if you want a separate copy for each version but it is not really required. It is v2 and v3 that are different.

I don't like spending time writing Java much, there are a lot of things that could be improved/fixed/added in that plugin.

Hi,

plugin sources are attached, v4 and v5 supported. v2 and v3 will be added later...
