Hi to everybody,
I have tested a CAN connection in loopback mode and it works properly.
Now I am trying to test a simple connection between two CAN controllers but ,for the moment, I am not interested to the real implementation of CAN-BUS, I would just implement transmitting and receiving functions. So I have connected TX pin of CAN1 to RX of CAN2 and viceversa and I am trying to make a communication (without succes so far).
Provided that I am not implementing a real CAN connection because I have not a bus, do you think that this connection is able to work? Is CAN2 controller able to receive the data sent by CAN1 controller?
As board I am using a DIscovery (with STM32F407G microcontroller).
Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Testing CAN without Transceivers
I am not sure if such connection (without drivers) is possible, probably not.

Re: Testing CAN without Transceivers
Hi Giovanni,
I have realized a connection working properly using the two tranceivers, then I've tried to put off the transceivers and connect tx of CAN1 directly to rx of CAN2 and viceversa.
I confirm you that it doesn't work.
But I found on the internet that this configuration it is possible with PIC.
