STM32F4DISCOVERY USB OTB broke in latest version

Hello,

Trying to get USB virtual com port version 21 of Chibi working on STM32F4DISCOVERY board using RT-STM32F407-DISCOVERY demo and for the life of me can't seem to make it work. USB device just doesn't show up.

I have managed to get it working with ChibiOS 3.0.0 and one of the demos, USB device shows up fine, but not in latest version of 21, it's as if something deep in the configuration changed.

Anyone has any pointers how to get it to work? Hate to be using version 3 in 2024

I believe it’s STM32F407G-DISC1 MB997E which is the latest, I got it a few months ago.

Hi,

I tested the STM32-USB-CDC demo (trunk code) on my F4 Discovery, it worked, the shell shows up.

My board is an MB997 B-00, probably older than yours but if it works with old ChibiOS this should not be the problem.

Hi,

You download the whole ChibiOS distribution https://sourceforge.net/projects/chibios/files/ then the demo is under /testhal/STM32/multi/USB_CDC

The demo has multiple target boards including that one.
