Problem with serial

Hi,
I am a newbie. i'm using KIT STM32F4067VET6 to build a project with chibios. But i am stuck at usart in multi thread.
- use usart SD1 to send data, work fine.
- use usart SD1, SD6 to send same data. After a few minutes, program is crashed.

Hi,

Are debug options activated in chconf.h (assertions, checker, stack overflow)? first thing is to verify if the problem is a stack overflow.

i activated debug options. But i dont know way to verify stack overflow when crashed.

Are you using a recent ChibiStudio version? that one is valid for RT up to version 6. Also make sure to stop the program before refreshing the ChibiOS plugin view.

i'm using chibistudio 20.3.x. in debug mode, i can see Debug view. but when crashed, i cannot see it.

It is possible that you have an overflow corrupting memory so the plugin is unable to display info. Try using the plugin on a working demo first so you can verify if it works correctly.

I used debug view fine with breakpoint. But when it is crashed. How to see it.

If memory is corrupted you can't see it.

The only way is the memory viewer and it is not easy, you need to look at stack areas and see if the "filler" has been fully overwritten, anyway, the fact that memory is corrupted is hinting to a stack overflow unless you did something in your own application able to do that.
