We have some open tickets in our tracker if anyone would be interested to contribute. Some are general programming like https://sourceforge.net/p/rusefi/tickets/33/ or https://sourceforge.net/p/rusefi/tickets/18/

Very nice project :-)

If you decide to take it commercial you may want to look at changing that ARM MCU, in automotive applications where SIL ratings are needed i.e. Engine ECU, ABS, Airbags etc you will never find an ARM based MCU doing the work. The two large vendors for things like this are Renesas and Infineon, ST/Freescale do also have some offerings. These tend to be propitiatory cores design with/for the Automotive industry.

Things like
V850 Renesas
Aurix/Tri-Core Infineon
SPCxxxx STM

That's just a hobby project for enthusiasts, but I will look at more automotive MCUs at some point in the future. Ideally I want to have ChibiOS support so that would be SPCxxxx STM, but the dev boards are not so cheap and, what is more importantly, I have not seen the chips along for sale in low quantities. Cannot say that I have really looked :)

For now I am just trying to write a well-structured code so that rusEfi could later be migrated to another MCU or, worst case, another RTOS.

There was an effort to find an OEM ECU with a Power Architecture chip compatible with one of the ChobiOS-supported ST chips, but this got abandoned - see viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1639

Relatively cheap boards should be available now for D, P and EL devices. Some distributors should be starting stocking SPCs, I may ask for samples anyway.

I would love a sample of something with FPU and Chibi support! Where do I sign?
