Re: [FINALLY] SPC5Studio and STM32
Hi,
You don't need to add "features" but components, select the application root and press the + button in the wizard toolbar, a dialog will appear with the available "platform components", select the STM32F4 one then add the chibios components under the platform component you just added.
You should read the help into "SPC5Studio Users Guide->Common Tasks->Assembling your Application".

Re: [FINALLY] SPC5Studio and STM32
Ok, I finally built my first working )(demo)-project in SPC5 Studio. The wizard creates a Generic STM32f4 board. Is there already a feature to select a predefined board ? I have a stm32f4discovery and an Olimex STM32-E407.
Thanks
Michael
Thanks

Hi,
The idea is to have presets under the board component directory ./lib/boards, there is one only for the discovery so far but you can create your own and save it in an XML file.

Re: [FINALLY] SPC5Studio and STM32
I can see that STM32F4-Discovery.xml. When I generate a project it is copied to my workspace directory. However when I look under ChiboOS_RT STM32f4xx Board Component in the wizard i can read the following:
Board Identifier: GENERIC_STM32F4XX
Board name: Generic STM32F4xx
When I try to load the STM32F4-Discovery.xml in the wizard there is an error:
Error: Content not supported! Version mismatch, found 1.0.0.201301091145. Required Version is: 1.0.0.201302011027

Re: [FINALLY] SPC5Studio and STM32
I see.
Apparently the configuration tool has two distinct problems in this case:
1) It is unable to load files saved with previous versions (you can manually change the version number inside the XML file, it will work).
2) It does not refresh the view after loading the file (save the configuration.xml then close it and reopen, the new data should show).
I will have the above fixed in next version, thanks.

Re: [FINALLY] SPC5Studio and STM32
Hi,
Supporting ChibiStudio does not take much time, if there is demand I will continue to integrate and offer it.
BTW, you can add to ChibiStudio the SPC5Studio configuration feature by just copying one plugin, I use ChibiStudio as development base for SPC5Studio.

Giovanni,
I for one would like to see the continuation of ChibiStudio. I find the advantages of having
a development environment that I don't have to install and do a lot of configuration is a
great benefit.
In your abundant free time
Thanks for all your hard work!!

Re: [FINALLY] SPC5Studio and STM32
I would second that.
My particular interest would be in the continuation of an eclipse plugin for Linux.
Thanks
