STM32F4-Discovery + DMSTF4BB

Hello everyone,

I did some testing with ChibiOS, LwIP and my Embest DMSTF4BB (or STM32F4-Dis-BB)

I found this demo viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1589&p=14728 on the forum, but apparently the board files never made it to the stable-2.6.x branch.
So here is my contribution:

Attached is a patch file applicable to stable_2.6.x branch. It adds:
1) EMBEST-DMSTF4BB Board files
2) Lwip demo (actually just a port of ARMCM4-STM32F407-LWIP demo)

When built with GCC ARM Embedded version 4.9.3 20150529, no errors but one of these stupid "warning: no return statement in function returning non-void" in a thread with infinite loop...

Tested in real world, this works quite OK; but whenever TestThread() is started I get immense ping spikes (jumping from 0.3ms to 800ms or sometimes more).
it happens during (nearly?) all of the 11.x tests.
Any explanations?

Hi,

Version 2.6.x is frozen for bug fixes only, all new material should go in 3.1.x.

About ping spikes, it depends on the lwIP thread priority (very low by default), the test suite runs at higher priority and is CPU-intensive. You need to assign priorities according to your application requirements.
