STM32F429 FatFs reading random chars

Post by 0st3n »

I've posted a bit ago in here with FATFS misbehaving, iv'e tried with different brands and size of SD card, both formatted as FAT16, and FAT32.
But still getting some semi random characters read out, but always same sequence of bytes.

If any one who have some time to spare to either run the code on your board with sd card connected to the SDC it would be quite awesome :).

Or if any one have any clue to what could be wrong, or what i could try next in the debugging process of it.

Or if there is a big mistake in my code.

My main.c code is to find at main.c
The file i'm trying to read at test.text
The output i get on my board Terminal output

I've now bought a new board, and tried again.
And still getting the error. Next step will be buying some different SD cards, to test with.

Update on the problem

Update
Well today, i figured out that the problem only occurs if i'm trying to read any number amount of chars than 512 (Fits with the size of a sector)
So i have found a work around, by creating my own read string function. Since the read string function provided by the FATFS reads 1 and 2 chars at the time.

Not the best solution but works for now, i will update this post when i get the time to figure out the real problem, and coming up with a better fix for the problem.
