Hello,
i have an olimex stm32-e407 board and a stlink v2 dongle.
I'm running linux debian, so I built the stlink-Software from sf
Toolchain for stm32 development is installed and running - I could build the sample from chibios demo pool.
I started st-util, which recognized the dongle and uploaded the demo by using arm-gdb.
stlink stated, that the upload was successful and the verify passed.
But ... when I reboot the olimex board, no led is blinking, no new entry in ethernet-network and no action on connecting usb-connector to PC.
It might probabely be a problem in front of the keyboard, but I have no idea, where to search or how to get rid of where I'm trapped in ...
Any help is appreciated.
best regards
james

Re: need help with olimex E407
Hi,
There are two revisions of those boards, the demos is setup for revision A, you need to edit the Makefile and swap to the other board files.

Thanks a lot for that hint!
I did know about the HW-revisions, but did not get rid about the SW-variants.
I enabled dhcp and works great now.
When I plug the usb connector, I see the device appear (I can browse the usb-devices with lsusb), but how can I get the file listings from sdcard?

Re: need help with olimex E407
You can access a shell on the virtual com port, then give the command "tree".

Yes I read that in the readme - but I did not know, what a virtual com port is, or how to access it.
OK, but I found it. Its a linux issue and not related to chibios.
so Thanks.
