Hi
I've got a custom board with a STM32F303 on it. I'm using an 8mhz resonator (SMD murata type) but for some reason it's getting stuck at:
stm32_clock_init () at ../../../os/hal/ports/STM32/STM32F3xx/hal_lld.c:174
174 while (!(RCC->CR & RCC_CR_HSERDY))
I appreciate this means the HSE clock is not ready - is anyone able to point me at common causes of this? It's all connected correctly as far as I know and unfortunately I dont have an oscilloscope..
Any advice greatly received
best
Gareth

Re: HSE Problem
Do you define the HSE bypass option in your board files? I assume you created board files for your board.

I love you! Thank you I was using the 303 Discovery board files and hadn't turned off the bypass.
Seems to be working now at least with the demo, now to try with my board!
you're always so very helpful when I come here - thank you very much.
Best wishes
