STM32F4xx EXTIv1 compilation error

Post by crispus »

$(CHIBIOS)/os/hal/ports/STM32/STM32F3xxHi,

My environment:
- ChibiOS version: https://github.com/ChibiOS/ChibiOS master branch, namely svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/chibios/svn/trunk@10573
- Compiler: gcc version 6.3.1 20170620
- Platform and board: STM32F4xx, STM32F207 nucleo 144 board
- Nature of the problem: compiling EXTIv1

I started my project in May and today I updated to the latest version of ChibiOS. Now it fails to compile:

Code: Select all

./os/hal/ports/STM32/LLD/EXTIv1/hal_ext_lld.h:30:29: fatal error: hal_ext_lld_isr.h: No such file or directory

I run a git bisect, and it seems that the last good commit is e07084176/trunk@10518, and starting with 1a6c5b8ed/trunk@10519 is starting to fail to compile.

It seems that in 1a6c5b8ed exti priorities defines are missing from STM32F4xx STM32_IRQ_EXTIX_PRIORITY (they are in STM32F3xx for example).

Thanks.

Hi,

The EXT driver has been removed from STM32 HAL, not it has been replaced by a new PAL callback functionality.

See: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4209

You can assign callbacks to pin transitions or directly make the thread wait for a transition.
