Re: micro SD slots with no card detect signal

Hello Sir,

I just saw the committed changes on the ChibiOS trunk. I was thinking of requesting SDIO support for the F4 family, but now it's great to learn that it has already been implemented. Can't wait to try it out! However I'll test it only next week as currently I'm out of station. Thanks!

I have been thinking over card detection features for quite a long time, and to have an extra GPIO for the mechanical switch to detect the card was something I couldn't make up my mind with. Especially when I had seen a dedicated card detect pin on the interface when I first used it, however, I had no idea that it could be used in SPI mode also.

I'll also try out the card detect functionality over SPI mode.

Method 2 worked. I added a demo for the STM32-P107 board demonstrating it. Note, it is for Rev.A, Rev.B requires modified board files because it uses USART2 instead of USART3 and there could be more differences.

Great!

Rev. B also changed the MAC. I just got some Rev. B boards and also stil have Rev. A ones. I'll look for more differences.

Just to confirm - it also works fine for me on the rev. a board.
