ChibiOS Free Embedded RTOS

I am using Win7 64bits so it should not be about 32 vs 64 bits, it must be something intrinsic in Win8.

Hi Guys,

I have been trying all night to get ChibioStudio Preview 7 to complie demo projects on my windows 8.1 64bit before I found this thread.

Using the DLL that dhruvin91 linked and replacing the exsisting one that is in "c:\ChibiStudio\gnutools\bin" it now works fine.

For the record the msys-1.0.dll that came with ChibioStudio is has all the same details and version numbers as the replacement file but is 56kB bigger?

I've been looking into this issue and I have found this page which explains the file that dhruvin91 linked.

Also there is a latter version of msys-1.0 on the mingw sourceforge page

Its file version is 1000.11.0.0 when the msys-1.0.DLL supplied with preview 7 is 1000.8.0.0 I have tested the new file on my work computer (Win 7) and seems to work I'll will need to wait until I get home before i can test it on a Windows 8 system.

Just confirming using the latest msys-1.0.DLL from the MiniGW link above works on my Windows 8.1 64Bit at home.
