javaw.exe not found, latest version, Win8.1

Hello,

I installed ChibiStuido latest version today in c:/.
When I try to start Eclipse via the start.bat it complains that it does not find a javaw.exe. PATH icludes the path to the bin, eclipse Kepler (located somewhere else) starts without problems, opening a cmd window and executing javaw is sucessful (so path seems correct).
When trying to copy java to the claimed eclipse/jre folder it becomes apparent that the original java folder is jre7 -so i assume a java version mismatch.
Used environment: Win8.1 64bit.

Is there anypossibility to use the eclipse project files of ChibiStudio with ChibiOs under a different eclipse installation?

Hi,

ChibiStudio assumes JRE to be already installed and reachable using the PATH environment variable (which is the default when JRE is installed).

I don't have Win8.1, you may try to just reinstall the JRE.

Hello Giovanni,

Java JRE works without any problmems.
Question is: which eclipse version do you use - 32 or 64bit?
System here is 64bit OS with 64bit Java.
From the eclipse.ini entry which states "win32.win32.x86_1.1.200.v20120522-1813" I assume that your Juno version is an 32bit version hat might be incompatible with the 64bit Java here.

What can I do to get the system working here?

Hi,

It is the 32bits Eclipse but I use it on 64bits systems without problems usually. I don't know if this could be related to 64bits JRE, it is possible you need also the 32bits one.

Hello Giovanni,

usinga complete 64-bit toolchain (OS, Eclipse, Java) and cannot switch easily.
As I have a stable Eclipse ChibioOs configuration now this thread can be closed as I do not need ChibiStudio any more.
