Side note: The method of writing documentation that is used with Chibios causes the "overview" of the documentation to go missing. Unless you already know exactly which function you need, the documentation is very difficult to use. All functions are consistently documented but very often you don't know what the arguments to the function actually DO, rendering the documentation close to useless for people like me who, say, need to start to use a new module.
I need a timer. I think a virtual timer is not good it provides only ms resolution, I need about microsecond resolution: that probably means an ISR running off a hardware timer. The good news is that my CPU has lots of timers. So even if chibios needs a few to work, there should be plenty free for me to use.
* Is there any "help" in chibios to use the hardware timers?
* Or are virtual timers going to work?
* I want the timer to run at about 1MHz, and then schedule an "output compare" where a small ISR function runs. (Works like a charm on AVR).
Suggestions?
Using timers.

Re: Using timers.
Hi,
The GPT driver is an abstraction over periodic timers, PWM is a PWM generator, ICU is a PWM capture.
