STM32F4-Discovery Audio Codec "CS43L22" Configuration

Hi,

I'm an acoustical engineer and I have an active noise control project to do. My goal is to implement an active noise reduction algorithm by using a MCU. Someone introduced STM32F407 Discovery which has an audio codec and Chibi RTOS in order to program it more easily. So I have just started working on it recently :D

In order to achieve this implementation, firstly I have to receive noise with a microphone and transmit it to the STM32F4. I managed to do this purpose by using ADC test which is provided in ChibiOS testhal. After processing the digitized noise, I have to transfer it to the audio codec unit (CS43L22) and play the produced anti noise to cancel the primary noise. Unfortunately I couldn't find any references regarding configuration of audio codec.

So is there any chance that someone has used this audio codec? If it's yes, would you please let me know how to set it's configuration? Consider it that I just want to play a signal via the audio codec.

Thanks

Hi,

I never used that CODEC but, in general, you have to use the I2C driver for configuration and the I2S driver for data streaming. I hope somebody else already implemented it, I would like to add a demo about that.

Thank you for your quick response.

Pardon me but is there any chance that the upcoming version of ChibiOS will have this kind of demo or any other test file about it? I really need this hard and because of my knowledge I don't see in myself to be able to run it personally :D :D

Thank you
