ARMCM3 STM32F103C8T6, lp012 warning in IAR

Post by ArtemKrot »

Hello,

I am using IAR EWARM for developing CM3 microcontrollers and one of the demos from chibiStudio. The code is compiling normaly, but on a linking stage there is always appeared next warning:

- [Warning[Lp012]: no sections with name IRQSTACK included - special symbol IRQSTACK$$Limit (referenced from C:\ProjectsARM\BlinkingOS\iar\Debug\Obj\vectors.o) will be zero;

During debuging the programm is stoped on function chIQIsFullI(iqp). When i switching on CH_DBG_SYSTEM_STATE_CHECK, pointer show me sv#7 error code.

Here detailed information about versions and so on:

chibiOS - version 2.6
demo - ARMCM3-STM32F103
IAR - 6.21

The question is what can be a reason of abovementioned situation, and how to solve it. Maybe somebody met this problem?

Thanks in advance, Artem

Hi,

The project were created with IAR 5.X, apparently there are problem with 6.X.

ChibiOS 2.6 is quite old, I suggest to upgrade to the latest version.

I'm trying to port ChibiOS 16.1, one question is appeared.Is the OSAL necessary part of ChibiOS or i can skip it and to not use? In other words how to switch it off if there is such possibility?

Thanks for help, Artem

OSAL is only required if you use the HAL, if you use RT alone then there is no need for OSAL.
