Bug at STM32F3xx/stm32_registry.h?

Hi,

Currently I am working with Low-Power and wakeup events from different sources and I looked into the “STM32F3xx/stm32_registry.h” for the number of available EXTI-Lines and I recognized that in Line 133 that there is

Code: Select all

[…]
/* EXTI attributes.*/
#define STM32_EXTI_NUM_LINES                34
[…]

written.

But according to “RM0316 Reference manual - STM32F303xB/C/D/E, STM32F303x6/8, STM32F328x8, STM32F358xC, STM32F398xE advanced ARM®-based MCUs” paragraph “14.2.6 External and internal interrupt/event line mapping” the STM32F3xx has 36 interrupt/event lines.

Could this be a mistake/bug in “STM32F3xx/stm32_registry.h”?

kind regards
Philipp

Hi,

The EXT driver does not consider sources marked as "internal", you may notice that ISRs for those are not defined.

Note that EXT is meant to be removed in HAL 6 (at least one year away), it will be replaced by PAL callbacks for GPIO and a new "system events" unit still TBD that will handle everything asynchronous in the MCU. EXT is probably the least elegant part of the whole HAL.
