Working on an ESP32-S3 Camera Controller PCB – Looking for Suggestions*

I've been exploring the design of a custom camera controller using the ESP32-S3 and an OV5640 camera module. One interesting part of this project is managing the different power requirements of the camera while keeping the data and clock signal routing reliable.

The design uses a 24-pin FPC connector, separate 2.8V and 1.5V camera power rails, and an 8-bit parallel interface for image data.

I'm particularly interested in how other developers approach PCB layout for camera interfaces. Do you prefer keeping the camera signals on a dedicated routing layer, or is a carefully planned two-layer PCB sufficient for this type of application?

I came across this detailed tutorial from PCBCool covering the schematic, power supply, PCB layout, and manufacturing considerations. Sharing it here in case it's useful: https://pcbcool.com/technical-guides/es ... -tutorial/

Would love to hear your suggestions, especially from anyone who has worked with ESP32 camera modules or custom camera controller boards.
