Re: Read timeout BaseSequentialStream
I just came across this thread while looking for clarification as to whether the BaseSequentialStream functions read and write should be blocking. The docs (in version 3 too) make it sound like it's non-blocking (and that put/get are blocking) but in the case of the serial driver over usb the read ...

Re: Debugging unhandled exception.
BRILLIANT! Thank you very much!, This should be in ChibiOS by default.

Re: SPI API Bug
Hrmm, ok, but personally I would have added a simple check for zero size, and return quietly if it is, just like all other IO type methods in most other APIs and languages, ie
Code: Select all
fwrite(buffer, 0, 0, fp) == 0

SPI API Bug
This is just a bug report with ChibiOS 3.
If spiSend is called with a zero size buffer, the dma transfer is configured, and stared, but will never issue an IRQ due to the zero size, and as such the thread will never unsuspend.

Re: CAN - Don't get RXMSG
You can remap to PB8 & PB9 with the following
Code: Select all
AFIO->MAPR |= AFIO_MAPR_CAN_REMAP_REMAP2;- Sat Nov 14, 2015 6:00 am

Re: CANBUS Issues.
I found the issue, it was indeed the baud rate...
The calculation is actually
So the correct values for 500kbps would be:
The calculation is actually
Code: Select all
STM32_PCLK1 / ((BRP + 1) * (SJW + (TS1 + 1) + (TS2 + 1)) = bps
So the correct values for 500kbps would be:
Code: Select all
BRP = 5
SWJ = 1
TS1 = 5
TS2 = 4

[SOLVED] CANBUS Issues.
Hi All,
I am attempting to connect to my vehicles can bus using a STM32F103RET6 via a MCP2551. I have a DSO attached to RX on the MCP2551 and I can verify that I am getting nice clean data from the ECU (See attached DSO screenshot), and I have verified that the RX bit is flipping on the CAN status ...

ADC Sample Rate
Hi,
I have started to use ChibiOS and find its design is excellent. Yesterday started to try to write some code to use the ADC. I wish to sample analogue audio at a specific sample rate, 48 to 96khz would be nice. The problem is that I do not know or understand how to configure the ADC to run at ...
