STM was giving out samples for a bit :D

Not sure what you can do with a measly 16KB of RAM though. It has 256KB of flash, but would have been a lot more useful if it had 256KB of RAM as well. I think the upcoming STM32F429 Discovery will be a lot more useful...

Let me know if you want me to test anything chibios related on it...

Not sure if the current L1 port can be used as-is, I have to go through the reference manual first.

A lot :)
The new L100 is quite interesting because it is low power. @32MHz clock it needs only 10mA. A perfect gadget for 90% of applications. Hopefully it going to be "chibios ready" :)

I was reading the manual and apparently it can DMA to anything on the SPI bus. STM makes a few SPI SRAM chips up to 128KB, so that would solve the data storage problem w/ only 16KB on-chip that you can just use for program variables and the stack :D

You may use FRAM or MRAM SPI memories, up to 512kBytes/chip today. All nonvolatile, unlimited r/w, w/ SPI clock faster than any STM can do.. :)

Didn't know they got that big :)

Only thing I wish is that the STM32 had a memory controller that magically mapped those SPI RAMs into memory so they show up as regular program memory :(
Without that, we have to manage those memories almost like a flash card.
