Hi,
Does anyone know whether there is a guide which explains how to quickly and accurately create a new project based on an existing configuration with inheritance compiler, debugger, etc.
For example, I try create new project by the following way:
- copy existing demo example;
- paste it with another name;
- start build ... oops - builds settings are empty.
What I am doing wrong?

The simple copying from file manager resolved the problem, but now debugger doesn't work. It says: "Execution is suspended because error"

You need to change the project name in .project the import it in the workspace.

Is there instructions yet though? I'm still just editing already existing STM32F4xx projects with my own code. I've tried exporting but I'm not the best with Eclipse and couldn't get that working.
Perhaps a template for "Project" that automatically sets up the correct stuff?

I will look into this but cannot promise a timeline.
Anyway, copying a project into a new directory, changing the name inside the ".project" file and then importing it in the workspace usually works just fine.

How do you 'import' it? Just add it as a new project? Import it as a Makefile project? Eclipse is powerful bu t a bit overwhelming for the new user.

Hi,
"File->Import...->General->Existing Projects into Workspace" then select the directory containing the project and make sure "Copy projects into workspace" is not selected if you already placed the project directory into the workspace.
After importing the project you will not see it immediately, you have to add it to une of the "Working Sets". Right click on one of the existing working sets, for example STM32F4xx then select properties and add the project.

Hi Everyone,
I was just trying to create a new project using ARMCM4-STM32F407-DISCOVERY as a starting point.
I think I was able to create the new project, but it fails to compile with the following errors. I think that demo project may be broken in the distribution.
I have deleted and reinstalled ChibiStudio and 2.6.2-stable from scratch and that did not fix the problem.
ARMCM4-STM32F407-DISCOVERY-MEMS seems to be working correctly.
Can someone take a look at ARMCM4-STM32F407-DISCOVERY and see if there is really something wrong with it?
Thanks
-John Scott

Hi,
Read carefully the errors:
#error "SPI driver activated but no SPI peripheral assigned"
This means that in halconf.h you enabled the SPI driver but in mcuconf.h none of the SPI peripherals is enabled for use.
