Hi I have just started with ChibiOS and am trying it out to see if I can use it for a project using STM32F4 discovery. This may be a silly question but a lot of the llds have two versions in ChibiOS 2.6.3, like SPIv1 and SPIv2, if I compare the source code amongst other differences there seem to be more SPI channels in v1 compared to v2.
Can someone please tell me what the difference between v1 and v2 is ?

Re: Hal Platforms has two versions
hi,
The various STM32 sub-families have different peripherals, it is not matter of choice, you have to use v1 or v2 depending on the device you are using.
This is resolved for you by the provided makefiles which always include the right drivers.

Thanks Giovanni, I suspected that was the case however I wasn't sure. I am using Keil for my project so I didn't use the makefiles provided however a quick look at the project configuration for the Demo project shows me what version was used for my Discovery Board.
Thanks
