how to program stm32f4 board in chibistudio

Post by Pask »

Hi, i use chibistudio to develope stm32f4's code.
I want to load .elf file on the board without start necessarily debugger mode.
unfortunately chibistudio does not offer a run or debug configuration mode to load only .elf file on the board.
How i can do it?
thanks.

Once you debugged it, the code has also been flashed. You may create a flash-only script using OpenOCD but I never tried it, see the OpenOCD documentation.

Alternatively you can use an external application, there are several for the STM32, even open source.

If you only need to flash the board, the easiest solution is this:

https://github.com/fpoussin/QStlink2/releases
It loads the .bin into the flash.

Otherwise during debugging the flash is programmed as well.
