i am using gptStart(&GPTD2, &gpt2cfg);
why my app crash when i set 1000 as timer clock in gpt configuration ?
with 10000 there is no crash.

It is not a crash, it is an assertion informing you that you can't have that frequency starting from the input frequency and the available prescaler.
