Hi,
I am new to ChibiOS. I am trying to bring up the USB Serial for Olimex H405 board (https://www.olimex.com/Products/ARM/ST/STM32-H405/).
From what I understand there isnt a straight example, that I could try in ChibiOS for this board.
Currently I am using a modified code based on the example in this path - ChibiOS/testhal/STM32F4xx/USB_CDC.
Now I am not getting the board enumerated in my Linux PC
dmesg log
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[3804201.263285] usb 1-13: new full-speed USB device number 82 using xhci_hcd
[3804201.263419] usb 1-13: Device not responding to set address.
[3804201.467205] usb 1-13: Device not responding to set address.
[3804201.670975] usb 1-13: device not accepting address 82, error -71
[3804201.671035] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 13
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
With respect to USB the 407 and 405 should be same, am i right?
Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks,
Krishna

Re: USB-CDC using Olimex H405 board
Hi,
407 and 405 are mostly the same.
Probably your problem is in GPIO setup in your board.h, I assume you created new board files, is this the case? if not then you need to do so.

Hi Giovanni,
Thank you. I got the LED blink working.
Can you tell me what GPIO settings that I need to look for getting the USB (Serial) working.
The schematics for the board is here https://www.olimex.com/Products/ARM/ST/ ... 05_sch.pdf
Thanks,
Krishna

Re: USB-CDC using Olimex H405 board
Hi,
What you are asking is a day worth of work probably.
You need to look at schematic and decide how to program each pin. There is a table with all the alternate functions in the Data Sheet, you need to use that as reference. Unused pins should be programmed as input with pull-up.
