Hi All
firstly thanks for the time in putting Chibistudio together and the examples , as a new user to both Arm and ST and ChibiOS
everything is a whirl . anyhow on to my problem .
i am building the demo from playembedded
RT-STM32F401RE-NUCLEO-IR_remote_reverse
i am also using workspace 30
this builds fine . but
in the problems tab i get
Program "gcc" not found in path , and i find this with all demo projects in chilbistudio
so i suspect i have missed something
any englightenment is appricated for a newbie

Hi,
Launch ChibiStudio using the provided shortcut, you may copy it on the desktop, if you launch Eclipse directly then the paths are not set.

Re: gcc error after compiling
i have used the start2.batch file ( modified the shortcut from start.bat to start2.bat)
this i have tried from a complete new install (win10) no changes made at all
using start2.bat ^ changing to workspace30 etc
even just starting the demo RT-STM32F401RE-NUCLEO HAS THE SAME EFFECT
attached screenshot showing error
thanks again for the assistance

Re: gcc error after compiling
The tool should be placed in C:\ChibiStudio, is this your case?

Re: gcc error after compiling
For some reason it does not find gcc.exe which should be present in the paths specified in the batch file. It either does not take the paths or gcc.exe is missing for some reason.

gcc.exe is missing from archive ChibiStudio_preview12.7.7z
in 4.9.2015q2\arm-none-eabi\bin
it is present in 4.7.2014q2

Re: gcc error after compiling
Confirmed, you can take it from 4.7 and put it into 4.9, that executable is only used for macros discovery.
