STM32F746ZG Nucleo144 and CMSIS PID Controller Problem

Post by lalvarezt »

Hi i want to implement a PID controller and read that there is native support for this function using the CMSIS library.
I've initialized the PID

Code: Select all

  S.Kd=0;
  S.Ki=0;
  S.Kp=100;
  arm_pid_init_q31(&S, 1);

and i'm calling the PID function with a constant value

Code: Select all

  q31_t x;
  x=arm_pid_q31(&S,10);

I should be getting on the output the value 10*100=1000 since i only have a proportional gain, instead a get 0, what could be the problem?
Thanks

IMHO, questions like this should be posted on ARM forum. By the way, do you have updated the CMSIS-DSP lib to the latest version? I have read somewhere that CMSIS-DSP files from ST are out of date. Download the latest source files from here. Note that a registration is required.
