IAR project for Olimex E407 LWIP FATFS USB

Post by Al B »

Here is a full set of IAR and project files with all corresponding changes to make work in both trunk and latest 16.1.x.
It has been tested on the olimex board to verify FatFS, USB CDC, shell, OS test execution and general behavior.
The web server also appears to be working, but I did not test it.

One thing that might be of benefit to others as well is that the ST-link V2 is not able to properly power the board on its own.
I spent many hours fighting phantom issues due to significant variation in the board voltages due to the St-link.
I noticed this by observing the relation between the CPU speed and number of issues I was having... and then verified with volt meter to drop below 2v !! So added an external power supply and that cleared up all these issues.

And also, please note that you will need to use the proper board.c/.h for the Olimex (E_REV_D) to get the correct Ethernet phy chip.
Project relies on the latest IAR cstartup.s and vector.s that correspond to the ch.icf definitions (included just in case needed).
FatFs and Lwip need to be unpacked in ChibiosXX/ext directory.
And the readme file has been update to provide a few more details.
And probably a few more things too, but can't remember them now :)
