STM32F4xx-I2C for STM32F401RE-NUCLEO

Hi,
In order to use STM32F4xx-I2C template on a STM32F401RE-NUCLEO board what should i change in the makefile?
I tried changing :
- linker script file in the makefile for F401RE-NUCLEO
- specific HAL board for F401RE-NUCLEO
with no luck, i receive a lot of compiler errors. Any hint?

I thinks you just need to modify the following :
- The board file
- The linker

Wich version of ChibiOS are you using?

I didn't have that errors before .

I'm trying to look after to see what is the problem.

Hi,

Make sure to take mcuconf.h from an F401 demo for Nucleo then change the makefile.

Hi,
probably the easiest way is

• copy the default demo for STM32F401RE
• replace main.c
• enable I2C in halconf and mcuconf
• edit main.c making it compiling (most likely LEDs PIN/PORT are different and there is always a blinking thread)

Giovanni, you are right, that resolve the problem .

All that errors come from the difference between the mcuconf files.

Tarx, do not forget to activated i2C driver and assign i2C peripheral in order to use the I2C module.
