Hello,
Thank you very much for your nice RTOS. I am considering it for a new application and need to list all used licenses. For most files this is trivial, but I was wondering about the make files, as these don't have a stated license.
For example:
ChibiOS/os/hal/hal.mk
ChibiOS/os/rt/rt.mk
ChibiOS/os/nil/nil.mk
...
PS: Would you be willing to accept a patch adding a SPDX license tag to the files? (https://spdx.org/) This makes license violations much less likely by allowing an automatic check at the end of the release preparation process.
Sincerely,
Dodo

Re: License question
Hi,
I never wanted to enforce a license on something like makefiles, if you need to classify those then you can assume an Apache 2.0 license, which is used in ChibiOS for anything non-GPL.
About SPDX license tags, where should I look exactly on that web site? could provide an example of usage?
There should be no need for patches, I made a tool that automatically changes comments in files so it could be deployed easily.
