I do a lot of teaching using STM32 boards -- in the past, we've primarily used F3 discovery boards. For a new course I'm going to use a Nucleo-64 board to have easy access to the various add in boards. Any thoughts on the "best" choice ? F303RE, F401RE, L476RG ?
I've used the F303RE board previously and in my research use the L432 parts extensively. I prefer usb-mini over micro when there are going to be a lot of clumsy students plugging/unplugging cables.
The questions are
- Any Chibios support issues with any of those ? They all have demo projects, but is there something to be aware of ?
- Any reason to choose/avoid one ?

Re: picking a nucleo board to use in a course
Hi,
The 3 you mentioned are fully supported so no problems, I would go for the L476 because it is much newer and has more interesting peripherals so better long term.
I do trainings to students too here in Italy and I use the F401, it seems there is an endless supply of those so it is easy for me to get large numbers from within ST. Usually students leave with their boards so availability is a factor in my choice (F401 is the least interesting device).
There are no reasons to avoid any of those anyway.
