STM32F767zi UART Auto Baud Rate

Post by tsm »

Hello.

Does chibios support automatic detection of baud rate on a UART? I've trying to find in its API and didn't see anything. From stm's reference manual I think I understand which registers I'm supposed to manipulate but not when should I do it.

Should I set them before/after the call to sdStart or should I set instead the cr2 field in the configuration (SerialConfig) passed to the function?

Thank you!

Hi,

The current drivers do not support the feature, you may try to do it after sdStart() when the clocks are already enabled.

Thank you I'll try. Just wondering if, after the initial connection, the device I'm connected to changes baud rate do I need to call sdStop and then sdStart again?

No, you need to do that after sdStart(), stopping would undo the operation.
