Hi,
I've been told here that I should use the compiler from ARM, and on ia64 the 2020-Q2 update seems to work well for me.
With my USB on my PC seeming to be a bit flaky, I decided to try developing on the raspberry pi. Well.... My code won't boot when compiled with the recommended compiler on the raspberry. Turns out that this is due to something with LTO: When I turned LTO off, it suddenly started working. Costs me 3k of flash, but for "working code" I'd say that's worth it. Is this a known bug, or should I report it somewhere else than here?

You may try compile GCC yourself or the raspberry, get the source from the ARM GCC web site (with all their patches).
