It seems there's already some F4 juice out there. Can't you just include GCC and release before the proprietary compiler support? (maybe the "beta" version?) Or is there some contractual obligation to release only with this other compiler support built-in?
By the way, if it is named SPC5Studio, can't you just backport new features to ChibiStudio and release it instead?

I'll ask.

There are none, but the product is meant for platforms requiring this compiler (not ARM).

I can't use unreleased components but it would work.
It will not take long anyway, just a small delay caused by internal bureaucracy.

Sounds good to me. I'll wait then (eagerly waiting for F1 too). Thanks for the update.

Hi,
They released a "preview" without the proprietary compiler: http://eus1f9.sgp.st.com:8081/st/wip/au ... 211720.jsp
Add a normal ARM/PPC compiler and you have a working environment.
The STM32F4 components are not yet ready, I have to make visual all the settings and it takes time, I hope to enable them on the update site over the weekend. I would really appreciate feedback on the configuration tool

I'm eager to try it out. Unfortunately here in the US the DNS is not resolving. Is this a known issue?
It appears that anything under "sgp.st.com" won't seem to resolve.

Hi,
It seems I got an internal link, I will make it available later if they don't have a public link yet.

The product should appear on the web during weekend, anyway, I have permission to distribute it freely, I will try to upload it somewhere tomorrow in the morning then I'll post a link here.

Public link
http://www.st.com/internet/automotive/p ... 211720.jsp
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
BTW: yesterday I saw the layouts of a discovery-like boards for this family, soon there will be low cost boards for devices like the "Leopard" SPC56ELxx, a dual core running at 150MHz, 2MB of flash, ASIL-B certified. I hope to receive some early samples.
