The plugin folder is 260MB over 325MB of eclipse installation, given this I'm going to pack a 64bit version using the same workspace.

Here a preview with 64bit eclipse:
ftp://ftp.elet.polimi.it/users/Martino. ... iew.tar.gz

Up to now only eclipse is 64bit, openocd and GNU ARM tools are 32bit, thus you need 32bit compatibility libraries (ia32-libs on ubuntu).

I found some minutes to try it out. I could start eclipse without any problems. Sadly I couldn't try anything out yet.

Hi, that's strange, I've downloaded ChibiStudio from that link many times with no problems.
do you get transfer errors or the download goes ok but the file is corrupted?
I've added the corresponding MD5 on the ftp ( ftp://ftp.elet.polimi.it/users/Martino.Migliavacca/ ), do you get a different checksum?

You could try changing the SF mirror before download, it is possible it is corrupted on that specific mirror.

Hi all,

I am running Eclipse with ChibiOS plugin in Ubuntu 12.04 and althoug I can debug the program with the GDB plugin, I can't see the thread info in ChibiOS/RT tab (see the attached image, you have to scroll down as it is on the bottom of the screen).

Is there a way how to turn on the ChibiOS/RT tab? Obviously I can see the variables individually (trace buffer etc.) but I can't make them show in the neat table.

I have all the debug checks in chconf.h enabled. I am using Eclipse Kepler Service Release 1 (build id 20130919-0819) with GDB debugger version 7.2.0 and ChibiOS v 2.6.2 and arm-none-eabi toolchain version 4.7.4 20130913, ChibiOS Configuration support plugin 1.3.0 and ChibiOS Debug Support plugin 1.1.0 (these plugins were copied from ChibiStudio).

Also, is there a zip file with ChibiStudio for linux? On sourceforge is only windows version (http://sourceforge.net/projects/chibios ... ibiStudio/)

Thanks.
Michal

Hi,

Threads become visible after executing chSysInit(), structures are not initialized before that point. You also need to click the "refresh" button in the plugin (the small two yellow arrows), it is not done automatically.

Hi Giovanni,

i tried as you suggested - probably I should have posted a printscreen from the actual debugging:)

As you can see, when I stopped the program, there should have been 4 threads already plus the main thread.

Even after refresh, there is nothing in the ChibiOS/RT - threads tab.

All the sub tabs (timers, trace buffer...) are empty as well, but in the upper right corner you can see that the trace buffer definitely exists and has data, it is just not shown in the bottom tab.

Any ideas?
M

Are you using the standard debug mode in Eclipse? the debug plugin does not support the "DSF" debugger which is default of late.
