That was the problem. I forgot to switch from Default DSF to standard.
Now it works great.
Thanks a lot!

Try disabling LTO in the makefile.

Hi all,
although I was able to use ChibiOS view in older Eclipse, the plugin doesn't seem to work in new Eclipse (Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers, Version: Luna Service Release 1a (4.4.1), Build id: 20150109-0600).
I am using legacy (CDI) GDB launcher, and ChibiOS with all debugging options enabled. However, when I load the code and start debugging, I dont see any variables in ChibiOS/RT 2.x.x Debug View. The program is running, and can be stopped at any point, but the nothing shows in the view.
Is it something with my settings, or is the problem the new Eclipse?
Thanks for help.

It works on Luna, ChibiStudio 8 is based on Luna.

Giovanni, could you in that case help me find the problem?
I am running Luna on Ubuntu 14.04 and I followed this
http://chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id ... s:eclipse1 and this
http://chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id ... s:eclipse2 guide. I am using a demo project based on ChibiOS 2.6. I can compile and debug code (i.e. stops at the right breakpoint etc), but even when halted the ChibiOS tab doesn't show anything.
only difference from the guide is that I am using a slightly different set of debugging commands (since I am using BlackMagicProbe):
Code: Select all
target extended-remote /dev/ttyACM0
monitor jtag_scan
attach 1
monitor vector_catch disable hard
set mem inaccessible-by-default off
monitor option erase
set print pretty
Any ideas what I should look for?
Thanks.

Are you refreshing the ChibiOS view? it shows nothing until you hit the refresh button. Sorry for asking but I am out of ideas...
Also, there are two plugins, one for 2.6 and another one for 3.0 but I imagine you already saw that.

It was the refresh button - I totally missed that since it is far from all other buttons. After hitting refresh it indeed works.
I am sorry for the unecessary question.

I followed the readme.txt in the tar file(ChibiStudio-linux-64bit-preview.tar.gz), but when I try to compile
Code: Select all
Description Resource Path Location Type
set di istruzioni per l'obiettivo "build/obj/crt0.o" non riuscito rules.mk /ARMCM4-STM32F407-DISCOVERY-MEMS/os/ports/GCC/ARMCMx line 154 C/C++ Problem
make: *** [build/obj/crt0.o] Errore di segmentazione (creato dump del core) ARMCM4-STM32F407-DISCOVERY-MEMS C/C++ Problem
How to solve this issue?
