Re: Tamper input ?
I never considered it, shouldn't it just be signaled via an EXT line? does it need initialization support of any kind?

Re: Tamper input ?
The way i want to use it is to save a timestamp on triggering, so PA13 is assigned the tamper input(AF Function), there can also be edge and filtering settings. Thus if the tamper pin is triggered, the RTC (even when only running on VBat) will store the time at which this event happened.
This functionality is all part of the RTC module on the STMF2/Fs, but i think only the basic clock calendar functions have been implemented so far in chibios.

Re: Tamper input ?
It looks like it just requires the implementation of a function returning the time stamp.
Being this an STM32-specific thing it should be named like rtcSTM32GetTamperTimeStamp() or similar and be exported by the low level part. I will give it a try but feel free to contribute a patch before that
